Alberta Recruiting Specialists is recruiting an Account Manager/Estimator for an Edmonton based client. Seeking a highly organized and motivated professional
Account Manager/Estimator is responsible for maintaining relationships with existing accounts within the power transmission and distribution portfolio, including providing quotes to new and existing clients and acting as an advocate for the customer to build relationships. Works with sales management and other areas of the company to prepare sales quotes, and provide service to clients as needed. Provide some Project Management services to clients as needed (small to medium sized projects only).
Responsibilities:
Support the achievement of corporate revenue targets and margin targets
Develop sales strategies for generating new business
Act as a customer advocate internally
Participate in customer budget planning and technical specification process to ensure a deep level of engagement from the customer and work toward future business
Assist with contract negotiations and close sales
Update sales forecasts
Identify accounts whose revenue and/or margins are shrinking and address risk in retention/account growth
Provide product and service feedback to marketing, engineering and manufacturing
Maintain customer profiles, contacts and master records in system
Provide feedback to sales management and leadership team to ensure company's solutions continue to meet client needs
Promote a positive corporate image by ensuring that appropriate standards are maintained in sales, support and service delivery
Prepare professional sales documents, such as proposals and responses to RFPs and RFQs
Maintain awareness of competitors' strategies to maintain a competitive advantage
Manage expense budgets efficiently
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in business, marketing or a related field
2 - 3 years of business-to-business sales experience
Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)
Knowledge of costing and estimation best practices from the construction industry
Experience working with CRM Systems
Background in oil and gas and construction industries
