We're hiring! We have multiple opportunities for Foremen Electricians with construction electrical experience to join our team in various locations throughout Alberta.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing a range of low, medium and high voltage equipment pieces associated with electrical power systems as well as for maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and commissioning.
General responsibilities will also include:
- Conducting work in a manner prescribed by the Company's Occupational Health and Safety Manual;
- Complying with the Electrical Code, safety standards and other applicable legislation; and
Performing other duties, as required.
- The ideal candidates will have an Inter-provincial Journeyperson Electrical Certificate (Red Seal preferred). Previous experience working in construction setting is highly preferred.
Safety training in Fall Protection, CSTS or First Aid is desirable, however relevant site training will be provided. As a safety conscious company, you will also need CSA approved safety boots. All other safety equipment will be provided.
Please note that travel to site is required. As such a valid Class 5 Driver's License is essential, as is the ability to pass a pre-screening drug test.
Candidates will need to be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without supervision.
An excellent communicator and problem-solver, you will have strong knowledge of drawings (wiring, schematic and layout). An outstanding work ethic, proactive attitude and some self motivation will go a long way in this role. Working a combination or shifts, including day and night, you will need to be a flexible and reliable team-player.
Please note that contract duration is minimum 18 months and opportunities for full time placement also exist.
